From Menton to Monaco and Marseilles, from Avignon to Annecy...

Report :
This time the travel nerves led us to France again. With our 7 years old Volvo-car we overcome the Alps and the travel chaos of the southern part of France. We drove on highways, mountain passes, through alleyway of the cities and we overcame hardly fixed serpentines to view points in a dizzying height. Thereby we wandered by car a large part of southern France, in the nights we slept in miscellaneous harbourages or hotels and marveled every well-known or randomly found sight, situated on the way.

In this holiday we overcame a driven distance of circa 3800 km.

A touch too extensive for 14 days of holiday? Maybe, but it was wonderful and we don't rue one of the kilometer on streets and ways. Of course, we didn't cross the above-mentioned towns and villages, no, we visited many of in guidebooks recommended sights.

Arrival via Germany - Austria - Switzerland (San Bernadino) - Italy
Our tour led us from the middle of Germany via Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg to Austria. From there we drove via Switzerland to Italy and finally to France, to the Cóte d'Azur.
